I'd recommend you find someone who has one, if you can. Give it a try.
Some people love them and can't live without one and others find they
just don't use them.

I have an Android tablet with a full-size USB port, an HDMI port and
an SD card slot all built in. It can be useful for evaluating photos
in the field with a bigger screen than what's on the back of the
camera. I may give it a try as a video monitor for shooting video with
the K5 (using the HDMI port). I wouldn't think a tablet computer is a
good way for editing photos.

It's main use for photographers is as a portfolio for showing your
work.
