No direct experience. However it's the equivalent of a 28-200 from the
days of film, has a /slightly/ better reputation, but still not great.
I did a little research for a friend who wanted a lens in that focal
length range for travel. I ended up recommending she get the Nikon
18-135 and a D90 to mount it on.
