DC - Direct current motor, so it's not SDM, thought based on the
power-supply in the camera I'd think they were both powered by direct
current, but then I'm not a Japanese marketer.

AL - Aspherical eLements Some of those pieces of glass have shapes
that are somewhat harder to manufacture.
IF - Internal Focus The front element doesn't rotate when focussing
(which is very handy if you're using a polariser)
DC - ?? Don't Care? Destroys Cameras?
WR - Water Resistant
