I would have great interest in a "B&W" only sensor IF it also had disengageable IR cut filters. Imagine a B&W "full spectrum" digital that you could then select various IR cutoff filters in front of the sensor. Your viewfinder (or live view) would not be affected, but only frequencies above your IR cutoff could hit the sensor. This idea could be extended to the astrophotography arena for cutting out sky glow, enhancing certain types of objects like nebula, etc. with the filters directly in front of the sensor.
