Ann - I'm curious. Elements works fine for me, but I convert the
files to DNG. Have you tried that? gs

sorry not to partake in chat much right now guys - need your expertise now

I've been dealing with this for a while but I can't believe there isn't a
way to fix it.

When I open raw PEF files in Elements the exposures hardly have to be
adjusted - if at all.

However, I can't preview the PEF's in the open window in Elements SOOOO

I use ACDSEE for Pentax 3.0 - when I do that I can see the thumbnails and
browse and slide show and all that BUT the images are always too dark -
anywhere from 3 to 5 stops under in camera terms.

I don't want to tamper with the raw files in ACDSEE - I've fished around for
a viewing option of brightening but I cant find it..

I'm on windoze xp (thought that shouldnt matter) does anyone know how to
adjust ACDSEE without actually editing the images?

Thanks guys,

ann
