It was a good read; thanks for that, Derby. A bunch of what he says only really applies to a face-to-face session though. Not that that's a bad thing, but less useful as advice for photo-comment-box or forum critiques. For instance, you can't really ask someone via a photo.net or Flickr comment box if they really want your honest appraisal before proceeding.
