This lens (FA 35mm f2) is a bit less sought after since the introduction of the Pentax DA 35mm f/2.4 AL which, by all reports, gives close to the same sort of performance for about half of the price. I think that has reduced demand and prices on what this lens was fetching prior that lens being introduced. If you think the full frame will get here eventually and you want a lens that can then be used on both, or the half stop is important to you, then the F or FA are the way to go.
