I don't think Nikon and Canon does it any better. EOS 7D has not been replaced, 
but has received a firmware update to sweeten the pill. Nikon D300s is 
certainly lagging behind and both Nikon and Canon is more or less forcing 
customer to upgrade camera and lenses to the more expensive 24x36mm system.

I still think K-5 and K-5 II is the best aps-c system on the market today.
