Although I may purchase a K-5IIs as backup to my K-5, I agree with Mark's analysis of the K-5's capabilities and am equally dumbfounded by the discontent expressed here. I believe I mentioned previously that the art directors who labor over covers for Harris Publications 75 newsstand magazine titles wanted to know what camera and lens I was using. (The lens was the DA* 60-250 of course.) They said my images are sharper and more detailed than the vast majority of the work they see, much of which is shot with full frame cameras from the biggies. The photo desk at The New York Times has been very complimentary as well, and I've never seen a Times stringer without a full-frame Nikon or Canon. I take no credit for the sharpness and detail. That's almost exclusively a matter of equipment. Can't wait to show them some pics from the K-5IIs. Of course we all know the camera is crap. It's a Pentax.
