Im not familiar with those cameras you mention, but whatever Pentax is doing now with their APSC dslrs can be scaled up to allow much bigger viewfinder with FF, even AF.

I've compared the Nikon D700's viewfinder to that of my K10D with accessory 1.17x diopter magnifier, and the difference was not huge; certainly not a big enough improvement to justify the expense of moving to FF just for it.
