Posting for a K-5 -toting friend (Gerrit Visser) who just got Lightroom for Windows.
Gerrit asks ... "The puzzle is why the Sigma 18-250 shows as Unknown lens in Library/metadata while it is listed ok in Develop. The lens id is 8 8 which is in the exif, exiftools displays the correct lens etc. Has anyone figured out where LR/Camera Raw keeps it mapping tables? The .lcp files do not contain any information regarding the lens id, only corrections.
