Steve - since 2001, you can't get as close to the Very Large Array as previously.. but a drive up route 60 toward Az is pretty neat anyway.. although it might be quite snowy...
too bad — i enjoyed standing under the antennas, though the vistas in that valley are amazing too
there is little snow cover at the moment in the area; still a drought in much of the interior west; this site is handy for guessing wildlife viewing conditions:
