I asked specifically for a 24 or 28mm. I would get a lot more use off a 24 than 
a 400....

Their answer is the 560. If you think an f4 400mm would be much cheaper go 
price current canikon equivalents. Why not get a 300 f4 and use a 
teleconvertor? It has pretty adequate resolution for that.
