You are most welcome to stay at my place in the Santa Cruz Mountains. 
It's a fairly nice balance between nice (if not spectacular) scenery and 
being convenient to many of the comforts of civilization.

We're about an hour and a half south of San Francisco, and 40 minutes southwest 
of San Jose (Silicon Valley), an hour north of Monterey (Point Lobos), two 
hours north of Big Sur
