Jerry, It's my understanding that if you shoot at 80 (or 100 or 125) and you drop it into the lab, and not say "boo" to them about what you shot it at, they'll process it as though it were 160. Every retail outlet that I've taken my stuff to (from specialized labs to WalMart - ya ya.. I went to WalMart.. only because I wanted the prints "NOW" and didn't want to fork out huge dough-ray-me) has done it this way.
I'm not sure if this is just my "luck" (good or bad depending on your point of view) but that's how it's been done. As a result, more contrast is achieved, at least from what I've seen, in the prints.
