I've been using sunny f16 for years with color negative film except I cheat and open up (overexpose) a half stop. GREAT results in bright sun. Call it sunny f13.5??
For slides I usually use sunny f16 and and shoot at f16 and at f19 (underexpose) on critical shots. i.e. bracket. I never overexpose from the sunny f16 rule with slide film.
