On my Alaska cruise a couple of weeks ago, I brought along a monopod and
two bean bags.  Didn't really use any of them -- conditions were always
terrible for anything other than handheld high shutter speeds.  (The one
event I really planned to use the monopod got canceled -- small-group
photography walk to a glacier -- because weather delayed us enough to
skip Juneau.)
