RE: TMAX 400 processing

Thanks for the tips on fixer time everyone.
I tried a piece of film in my *used* fixer and
it "cleared" ( translucent ) in about 4.5 minutes
but the pink tinge lasted till about 8 minutes.
Which is the correct "cleartime"??
