I've had good experience with Manfrotto/Bogen tripods, but mine are all OLD heavy-weight aluminum tripods.
It gets good reviews on B&H with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5; 100% would recommend to a friend; PROS of "folds away, lightweight, stable, unfolds quickly" and no CONS listed. I couldn't get the video to play. It just gave me an orange candy-cane stripe & the word loading. I read all the responses on the thread while waiting for it. If I *was* going to buy it, I'd look for it locally, and buy it from B&H if I couldn't find one around here. On 8/18/2013 12:53 PM, Christine Aguila wrote:
Hi Everyone: I saw this new tripod on amazon: especially made for travel and mobility. If you click to the images page, there's a video showing the tripod "in action." Any thoughts? It's amazingly compact and can sustain up to 8.5 pounds. http://www.amazon.com/Manfrotto-BeFree-Compact-Lightweight-Photography/dp/B00CIVLAJO/ref=sr_1_2?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1376843934&sr=1-2 Would be interested in any thoughts. Thanks, Christine
