It looks very similar to my Velbon 383 (long since discontinued), which weighs about 2 1/2 lbs (1.2 kg)and is a bit unsteady unless I hang my camera bag from it.
So, that's what I do. It is with me A LOT more often than my 6 lb/2.5 kg Slik. It is with me A LOT LESS since I got the K-5, whose anti-shake is remarkable.
