Hey, if you're able to upgrade to the rumoured full-frame Pentax, then
do it! Most of us have no option but wait until these things actually
exist and are shipping. :-)

Seems to me you have yet another option: eBay listings show mint K20D
bodies for $300-$400. Myself, I'd no longer trust the fallen K20D; if
it took a force that great who knows what else is wrong inside?

IMHO, if you have the dough, a K-5 would be the most cost-effective
option for you. The K-5ii would be my preferred choice but there's a
price premium of course.
