So I ordered two from B&H @ 44.95 each. Plus shipping. Still the same price. 2
to 4 weeks to ship - out of stock.
i've had decent luck finding hoods on eBay; of three i've ordered (16-45, 16-50
and 50-135) all look good, but one was worn to the point that it is a little
too loose, so i'll need to fiddle with it (or order another and i'll still be
ahead of buying new); on older primes i like the third-party metal screw on
hoods, though the solid connection means they are in some ways less protective
