Probably not. That's a lot newer than my memory.
It was years ago I saw it, and the impression left in my memory is the
detached monopod was very much like the Gitzo G1564 monopod I have now.
It might have been the Tiltall, but at the time I had a Tiltall tripod
and it definitely did not have the detachable leg. I think I switched
over to a Bogen 3021 around 1999-2000.

Both convert to monopod. TravelFlat flattens down to a very low
profile -- pretty cool actually.

I don't remember who makes it or if it's even still made, but there used
to be
a good sturdy tripod on the market that one of legs could be removed &
used as
a mono-pod.
perhaps you are thinking of Tiltall? on newer/current Tiltalls, the bottom
cap of the center column can be threaded onto the top of one of the legs
(when detached from the rest of the tripod) and the cap has a threaded
camera stud
on the Tiltall that i have (seems to be Leitz version), two legs can detach
but the cap is missing, and reportedly the cap on my version wouldn't have
had a camera stud anyway
