I don't know. Initially I was shying away from buying Foigt Heliar 15/4.5 for my Ricoh GXR because of the same stupid fear of corner problems. Fortunately, I've seen the pictures... So far I've observed the violet coloration mostly towards the corners (sometimes it happens if there is severe flare in the middle of the frame too) less times than I have fingers on my hands(*). So, it is there, but its effect is probably greatly exaggerated by the internet hype.

That said, GXR-M has sensor is adapted to RF lenses, naturally. And Ricoh did quite an excellent job here. Further, no one is forced to mount RF lenses on these cameras. Fortunately, we don't lack excellent lenses from many manufacturers - just do your homework and/or decide which ones you would like to put to use.

(*) Normally I type with all my fingers, so in principle you may have an illusion that I have more than 10 of them... :-)

I think this could be a very significant pair of cameras.

I would expect this to be the same sensor to be used in the Pentax FF.

I'm very curious how well this camera will work for Sony, with the
combination of short registration distance and big sensor. Wondering
if it will perform better with lenses at a more "normal" flange to
sensor distance (with adapters).

I still tend to want a real viewfinder in my cameras, but I can see a
significant place for this camera. Expected to be around $2200 for the
body, I believe.
