Exactly what I was thinking. If it is indeed a leak, it seems to be targeted toward not cannibalizing the sales of the FF if/when it is released.

Personally, I can't afford to own a FF given the resources (both financial and technological) required. Hell, the K-3 is a distant goal for me at this point.

But, there are people who can afford the FF, but either can't afford or justify buying one after having purchased a K-3 within a relatively small time frame.

And then there's the segment that, upon the release of the K-3, might conclude that no FF model will ever be forthcoming from Pentax and decides to change systems altogether.

So, if there is some truth to the leak, it seems like a reasonably strategic one.
