I didn't scroll down... Jostein does show a canyon called slot Canyon...
but there are lots of slot canyons, actually - the one I always think of
is Antelope Canyon near PAGe, AZ as the most photographed - and beautiful..
I know Valley of Fire but never did a slot canyon hike that I recall..
Wish I had.

If I remember correctly, the Vermillion Cliffs are west of Page, sort of
in between the North Rim of the Grand Canyon/Kanab National Forest & the
Glen Canyon Dam (in between US 89 & US 89A) and there are a bunch of
other slot canyons in the area.

Slot Canyon and Valley of Fire are pretty close to one another, so
much so that the folks shooting one are almost certainly going to
shoot the other at nearly the same time on the workshops that parade
photographers through the canyon lands area.
But that's really what I mean. I've seen so many photos of that area,
taken by so many many people, that I can no longer distinguish between
them. :-|

Please come back and try again … ;-)
Seriously, Slot Canyon is like Yosemite: it's photographed to
distraction by thousands of photographers every year. It's pretty
hard to get a fresh viewpoint on such an over-represented site
without a lot of time to study what's been done, the site,
reflecting on it, and coming in with very fresh eyes… !

I conclude that I've failed to bring any new way to see this

back. :-)
