If I remember correctly, the Vermillion Cliffs are west of Page, sort of
in between the North Rim of the Grand Canyon/Kanab National Forest & the
Glen Canyon Dam (in between US 89 & US 89A) and there are a bunch of
other slot canyons in the area.

You remember correctly - or we are both wrong :-) I love the Vermillion
Cliffs.  Richard and I discovered several slot canyons back in the 80's
that were not named - one in Capitol Reef was named "Surprise Canyon"
though..

This is all making me want to dig out slides from back then - maybe after
Christmas

It's making me want to go out west again, but it's not in my budget right now.
