Any idea what can substitute for a #10 coffee can? Coffee no longer

Good for the environment I guess, except that they don't stand up too
well if you try to save hot bacon grease in them for later disposal in
the landfill.
What else might come in that same size can that would still be available
in a can?
I didn't realize this before I sent the old can off to the landfill. I'd
have scooped the congealed grease out into one of the cardboard cans &
sent it off to the landfill.
Of late, I just let the pan cool and then scoop the fat out with a flat
scraper. That gets cleaned onto a scrap of paper towel and fora into the
garbage.
This might not work for you.
The other thing I do quite often is forget to put the spatter screen
onto the frypan while it's cooling, and Jester gets really excellent
counter surfing that day.
This also might not work for you.
I have always used Classico sauce jars for that, though I suspect any
preserves jar will do.
Let the pan cool a bit before you pour the fat into glass. I haven't
broken a jar yet.
If all you want is a tin can, I think tomato products still come in
cans, at least they do here.
Why don't you hit your local B&M grocery store and cruise the aisles,
see what comes in a can that might be edible.
