Kevin,

Is this a hypothetical situation, or did it happen? As a news cameraman,
I am also a trained first-aider, and my first obligation would be to help
in a rescue situation. This will possibly be at the detriment of my shots
for the tv news, but I made the decision long ago as to what was more
important to me. Having said that, most of the situations I encounter
have not been at a 'critical' phase, and I have chanced across situations
where there are already plenty of folk helping out, in which case I get
my camera out and start shooting. In a stills capacity (hypothetically,
as I do not shoot still professionally) I would see no reason to change
my stance.
