Must be the reverb ;-) I'm just about to 'upgrade' my cheapy mando. I got a set of K&K twin internal pickups and installed them already - hardest part was drilling out the tailpiece. The jack plug socket fits through it, and into the interior through the woodwork, and you glue the pickups near the f- holes. Actually a lot easier than it sounds. Plus got some Grover machine heads to replace the no-name cheapies, and a set of D'Addario EXP74 strings. Can't wait to put it all back together on Friday, a day off.
