I would have placed the rock there even if I had not been at a "PRIVATE NO 
TRESPASSING GATE."
While I liked the idea of the barn being only partially visible, the rock 
justified the perspective.
The palm tree shots were for anyone who might like them.

The first image has a great subject, well captured but I'd look for another 
POV to position the rock so it doesn't detract from the barn - maybe to the 
right of the barn using the roof line to line the rock up.. As presented the 
rock is a detractor IMO

The other 3 images don't work for me - the inclusion of the palm tree really 
detracts. The color of the sky in the last image is other worldly
