I tried out a Sigma 10-20 once and found it had barrel distortion that bothered me. It seemed to me that it distorted differently on the horizontal and vertical axes. Fixable in post, of course (and normal barrel distortion even easier to fix) but I'd just rather not if I can avoid it). So I went with the Pentax 12-24 even though it is 2mm longer at the wide end.
