You are correct, Steve.  It was a joke on my part, stating that here
municipal architectural review boards would prohibit the construction
of building that looked like that.  I did not mean to suggest that
there was anything improper about photographing those buildings.  Nor
was I criticizing the quality of Bipin's photos;  I was only
suggesting that I did not think the buildings themselves were very
attractive.

I share your suspicion of architectural review boards.  I better
economic times, a large part of my practice was representing
developers of commercial real estate, and I had many disputes with
architectural review boards and planning boards the wanted to redesign
my clients' buildings.
