Thanks, Malcolm! I've read such about malcontent painters as well. 
Deciding when an image is finished has to be a practiced deliberate act and, of 
course, subject to change.

I loved the mood of the image.

I'm only just beginning with post image taking software. I thought it would
make my photos easier to sort out and correct where required. In one photo I
took, I've realised I could crop it maybe four different ways, and process
each differently. Six weeks ago I really wouldn't have understood fully what
you've said but I get it now. 

I've got thousands to go through, and yet you can cheerfully spend a great
deal of time with just one image and come out with several variations. No
doubt you can return to it a week/month/year later and see something else.
