Hi, Shel, To be blunt, that sounds like a pile of crap! Not you, of course, but on the part of your bank or financial institution. I've closed many auctions bought from the US, and I'd say that 1/2 the time I've sent a Canada Post International Money Order in US funds, and I've ~never~ heard from the seller that he's had to pay ~any~ sort of charge. I've also never heard a complaint that the financial institution has held the money order for any period of time.
I know we aren't supposed to have attachments on pdml, but I'm going to scan and send you a "sender's copy" that I have hanging around, off list. The colours obviously won't be right (this copy is white onion skin), but you should be able to at least compare where the letters, numerals and symbols are, just FYI. I don't recall, but I think the originals may indeed be pink, or maybe a yellow-pink combination. I wonder, Shel, could you take it to a Post Office and cash it there? They might do it for little or no fee, and I would hope that they wouldn't hold it. Just a thought. Good luck! regards, frank Shel Belinkoff wrote: > ...
