I am an old fart, and old habits die hard. Most of my film cameras, and the *istD seem to run down the battery rather quickly. As I result, when I am finished taking a series of images, I reflexively turn the camera off. I have noticed the the K-5 II S has very long battery life, so I SHOULD just leave it on, but, as I said, old habits die hard.
