If you read the reviews on the linked page you'll see a reviewer
comments on using it for just that purpose (finding then nodal point).
You would only use one of those for that purpose because sliding left
or right would put you out of alignment again. I made my own platform
with the ability to slide the camera to the nodal point with the
camera in the vertical position. I should dig that out and try it with
the K-3. That would give me 6000 pixels on the short side of the pano.
