I've only been to Italy twice, but without a doubt Puglia is top one or two places there that I'd like to see, along with Abruzzi and Marche, which an Italian friend tells me is the most beautiful countryside she's ever seen. She's from Venice, so anything that's not damp is probably unusual to her. I'd rather like to see the site of the battle of Cannae, which is in Puglia.
