I worked in Manhattan for 11 years, and I walked through Times Square at every 
opportunity. I relished being in the shadow of 1 Times Square, where the 
greatest American newspaper once held forth. Cowboys, naked ladies, Mickey 
Mouse. It's still Times Square, and it's still special. (Although I realize for 
today's New Yorker it's intellectually compulsory to mock it.)
