Four days back from two weeks in Italy, mostly in the Salentine Peninsula. (The heel of the boot.) Part of the trip was a six-day bike tour of the Peninsula. This photo is from a boat tour we took of the sea caves outside Santa Maria di Leuca, Italy’s southernmost point. <https://www.flickr.com/photos/134553973@N05/21346579310/in/album-72157658394762659/> The glow in the spray coming from the blowhole is light carried underwater into the cave behind the blowhole. The waters on the coast here are crystalline.
I bought a pocketable Fuji XQ1 for the trip. I found it to be a capable little camera, producing reasonably sharp images even when I was pretty unsteady, e.g., in a rocking boat, and at relatively low shutter speeds. I didn’t like having to use the LCD to compose and information on the screen was often difficult to read. I was disappointed that images that looked sharp showed a fair bit of noise at ISO’s above 400. It goes without saying, comments and suggestions welcome. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eric Weir Decatur, GA USA [email protected] 404-636-6142 -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
