TR Power Pack is not only box for batteries! It has it's own condensator and other electronic so some flash functions are transfered to it. It is impossible to do it by your own! It is problem when using it because it tends to pull off flash from camera. Usually flash is moved from hot shoe for some milimmeters. If You don't notice that, contacts for TTL metering are cut off, flash fires, but you don't notice that photos won't be good lit. I'm tempted to try and rig my own power supply... Maybe with off the shelf parts at radio shack? Anyone ever tried it before? I wonder if the plug to fit it to the flash is also off the shelf? Yahoo!
