Looking for alternatives to insects I visited the only Rock Shop in the
area and came back with a few samples to work with. This is an Ammonite,
a fossil of a chambered shell:

16 stacked images at about 1.5x lifesizxed. K01 plus A*200 macro plus
extension. I used the working room from the longer lens to setup the
flash to shine directly onto the fossil to reveal as much as possible in
the layers beneath the surface.
