What about the aperture ring - if the camera lens is not attached to a
camera body and the aperture ring is turned, I presume the iris remains
open (to allow for open aperture metering?)
It works just like any other K/KA mount lens. It defaults to stop down
metering if there's no stop down lever to hold the aperture open.
