Bruce- thanks for the info. I don't shoot slide film at all, so scanning
slides is not a priority. It would be for my Dad, who has shot lots and
lots
of slide film in the past, though.

I have it and am pretty happy with it.  If you consider it, you should
really use the VueScan Software from Hamrick (www.hamrick.com).  It
really improves the speed of batch scanning.  One thing to be concerned
with is it's weakness in scanning slides.  I have great luck with
negatives, but am less happy with it for slides (especially Velvia).
With this scanner you can easily scan high enough resolution to print
great 8X10's off an epson printer.
