If it only happens with your browser check for unauthorized plugins and
extensions. Every once in a while a web site will install something
that you don't want. Having automatic updates enabled can allow the
installation without you being notified, and they can be pretty sneaky
in getting you to authorize it as well.

There's nothing to be gained by sticking with a long gone OS.
Only software update was Sptder Pro 4 back in September. Not sure if
thats when things started or not, it may have been.

sometime clicking on a video that has been shared seems to follow with
a freeze up. Just recently when i turn on the computer i get the grey
screen and no apple logo, i shut it off again and restart then it
seems to be ok. This jsut started last week. Old OS 10.6.8 plus my
browsers are not in line for up dates any more, Chrome and Firefox.
I'm down to 196 GIG on a 500 Gig HD. Could this be part of it.??
I have fixed permissions and run Macscan 1-2 a month to get rid of the
tracking cookies.
