The capsules themselves are often made completely from recyclable material, so
that side is of lesser concern - assuming they stay in the cycle.  Of greater
concern is the environmental cost of machine production and the oxygen wasted by
the people who promote these devices.

WRT cost of product, I once overheard sopmeone in a supermarket espousing the
chapness of the capsules they had found.  Examining the product during an
overwhelming burst of curiosity, I found thy were paying over £11 for 100g of
coffee.  Sad, sad people.
