On 11/9/18, Igor PDML-StR, discombobulated, unleashed: >The funny highlight of the shot is the white bird head peeking from its >shelter. I am not sure if it was trying to take a peek or to photo-bomb >your otherwise "classic" tranquil image. >Did Godfrey work as the "trap" for it?
Haar sadly not. There was a veritable plethora of swans there that day. I like a bit of quirkiness in my photographs so was waiting for something unusual. I excluded the other birds from the frame and waited for this one to drift further to the bank so that his body was not visible - then when he was just a head an neck, I started shooting. The other frames he was looking straight at me, which mimicked the church spire better, but I didn't like losing the classic curl in the neck, so went with this frame. I chose a square crop as the spaces left and right added nothing. I like it so er flew with it. >BTW, the webpage layout is a bit annoying: it has this empty white space >on the left, requiring to scroll the page to the right to see the >photograph. There is some weird table structure in the webpage design that >forcing that empty space. (I am vaguely remembering that I may have >commented on that earlier. If so, - I am sorry for repeating it.) Ah, interesting. No I haven't heard you rant on this before ;-) The page is created in Softpress Freeway 7 which is rather dated and is a WYSIWYG editor for simpletons like me. The page is 1600 by 1200 pixes and aligned centre so I'm at a loss as to why you would have to scroll sideways? Happy to take advice as I just wanted a simple white page as a template for my pics :-) -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ UK Shoot / Edit and || (O) | Live Broadcast News ---------- <www.seeingeye.tv> _____________________________ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
