I could be wrong, but I think the failure of the entire Z/PZ series was due
to their appearance (size and look) and lack of AF performance. Of course,
marketing plays a part too. For most new comers, Canon and Nikon are the
BRANDS to consider 1st, and then Minolta. If Pentax products didn't stand
out from the crowd, they would be ignored and vanished by the public, just
like the SF and Z/PZ series. This explains the success of the original M
series, and now the MZ/ZX series (compact bodies that Nikon and Canon do not
offer).

>Definitely agreed except for the fact that I don't think the MZ-S is a real

Professional or not is rather subjective imo. A primitive high quality
mechanical camera can be consider professional. A feature packed camera with
average built quality can be labeled as professional. It doesn't matter if
they are professional, it matters if they suit your need.

>I will:) I think Pentax is about two steps behind:))

Consider the relatively limited resource that Pentax has when compared to
Canon, I doubt this will ever happened in the near future.
