Larry, John and Godfrey (and any others out there): How are you soing with the Fires and the intense heat? This is from my friend in San Jose this morning:
*Serious problems here. Sorry to say Santa Cruz hills are very bad and not yet contained.Bad fires 🔥 , bad air, heat of triple digit weather . Weather Is the big issue causing this. In San Jose, have smoke everywhere, but that is not unusual. ..but worse with the heat and black outs. I have not lost electricity by some grace. People are conserving electric, so the governor says we may not need any more rolling black-outs. I have aN95 mask and only go to XXXXX’s once a day for AC. XXXX’s birthday tomorrow . Thank God no fire in downtown , but we get smoke from the hills. Newsom said it will be easier tomorrow due to better weather. Fires take a long time to contain and put out. Getting helpfrom Texas, Ariz and Nevada.XXXXXXXh and I were scared this afternoon, so I had her and kids come over. * * I-80 closed due to fire.We are ok.
