Look, you're going to have to make up your mind as to what is fair and what isn't. The
Z1P is even older than the ZX-5, but it's fair to compare it [Z1P] with the N80, while
it isn't fair to compare with the ZX-5 because the ZX-5 is too old. Huh??? Maybe
sticking to price class would make more sense.
One of the big problems in comparing one camera to another is that most folks are
familiar with only one of the cameras they are comparing. They may not be as familiar
with the other camera, and not know how to best configure it for a particular shot.
Having to do a focus and recompose, because the AF sensor selection implementation is
too clumsy to use quickly is a joke. Trying to do "focus and recompose" on a moving
subject is like doing brain surgery by going up someone's rectum.

Well, this comparison is unfair. ZX-5 is much older camera than N80. And
these two Pentax lenses are much slower (especially powerzoom, which isn't
even IF) than Nikkor 28-105 (4-5.6 compared to 3.5-4.5), and believe me -
speed of lens greatly affects AF performance, especially in low light. When
I was using Tokina ATX-Pro II 28-70/2.6-2.8 with Z1P, than AF was almost
instant...
